iPhone 6S Series

The iPhone 6S may look identical to last year's 4.7-inch iPhone 6, but important changes comes in its hardware interior. The touch screen has been upgraded with 3D Touch, enabling two new gestures: Peek and Pop. For instance, pressing lightly on an element in a message will give "a peek" of more information (like an image).

Everything You Need to Know About the New iPhone 6S Series

The new iPhones has a new, faster chip called the A9. It's more efficient than before and has 70% faster CPU performance AND up to 90% faster GPU for playing graphics-intensive games and apps. Apple hasn't announce whether the 6S includes 2GB of RAM, but "it's been the widely reported speculation."

The 6S camera sets a new standard for phones with a 12 MP sensor using advanced pixel technology for shooting sharper photos with less noise and truer color, even in low light or whatever environment you're shooting in. And for the "first time" it captures sharp 4K video allowing for 8 million pixels per frame!

Additionally to the camera there’s a new feature called, Live Photos, "which captures a still images for 1.5 seconds (a total of 3) on either side of a photo." Basically this allows stills to be turned into a video or animated GIFs, alongside having sound!

The 6S case is made of a newer aluminum alloy, and the series includes a new rose gold option that reflects the pinkish gold color you've might've seen with the Apple Watch.

Similar to the iPhone 6, the 6S has Touch ID that allows you to make purchases at over "a million participating stores" with Apple Pay using your fingerprint, and it's fast! The advanced fingerprint sensor also unlocks your phone easy and securely.

The actual iPhone 6S release date is Friday, September 25, this includes the US, UK and Australia. You can order it before then, however, starting September 12
